After graduating from college, I joined Independent Insurance Counselors in 1982. I was blessed to have been mentored by my father, James A. Lansford who stressed professional conduct and education.  Since most of my clients have little knowledge of insurance, I enjoy the process of informing my clients so they can make an educated decision regarding their protection.

I am a life-long resident of Alvin, but where I grew up included my grandparents’ homestead in West Columbia, Texas A&M at Galveston, and the outdoors. When I am not discussing insurance, I enjoy talking about family, fishing, and golf. Everyone knows of my passion for fishing, but only a few know of my love of music and playing the guitar. A perfect weekend would be fishing in the mornings, dancing with my wife in the evenings, and having a tender prime rib or ribeye.

In my life, I have been blessed to have been associated with some tremendous organizations. I am especially thankful for the Rotary Club of Alvin and the Interact Club of Alvin High School. These organizations provided me with the opportunity to serve. For seven years, I volunteered at The Women’s Center of Brazoria County. As a result, I learned from some amazing people how to put “Service Above Self”.

I have spent 60 years in the insurance industry. Forty-seven of those years have been with Independent Insurance Counselors. I enjoy helping our customers purchase their coverage, especially assisting them in getting the best value for their premium dollars.

I grew up in Angleton, Texas. I am still active in my High School Alumni Association there. I enjoy life in general, visiting with old friends and family. In my free time, you can find me spending time with friends and family, shopping, eating, and visiting.

I am active in my hometown Alumni Association and the projects we undertake, as well as my church activities.

I have worked in the insurance industry for over 35 years, specializing in personal insurance products. I enjoy working with our customers and meeting people from within the community.

I am originally from Louisiana but have lived in southeast Texas for over 25 years. When not working, I like to spend time with family and friends.

For the past 5-6 years, I have been working with a great group of people here at Independence Insurance Counselors that have been very supportive and have encouraged and fostered a growing knowledge of the insurance industry. We are about helping people and put in the extra work to find the best insurance for them.

I grew up in Texas City, Texas, and graduated from Texas City High School in 1975. I went to work for Monsanto Company in Alvin soon after that and moved to Alvin, where I live today. I enjoy spending time with my family and I can’t stop talking about my twin grandchildren. Seeing them always makes me smile and grateful for so much. On the weekends, you can find me working in the yard with my plants and flowers and crafting. When I’m not working I enjoy being with friends and family or just relaxing at home.

I have served as the accounting manager at Independent Insurance Counselors for seven years. I enjoy working at Independent Insurance Counselors because we have a knowledgeable staff that is fun to work with. I joined the staff at Independent Insurance Counselors after thirty-five years of teaching mathematics in area high schools and community colleges.

I grew up in Alvin, Texas, home of the Alvin Yellowjackets! I graduated from Alvin High School and the University of Houston Clear Lake City. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and loving every minute of being a grandparent.

I am passionate about supporting the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center and Texas Children’s Hospital.
